Self-Care – People urged to get out and about or get creative to tackle loneliness
Get out, share experiences and get active are key messages of a new campaign launched to coincide with national Self Care week (Nov 12 – 16).
The campaign has a particular focus on drink awareness and eating healthily, both with the underlying message of reducing the risk of Type 2 diabetes.
October edition of Health & Care Stakeholder e-bulletin out now
The October edition features the launch of the new ‘Start a Conversation’ campaign to help prevent suicide plus the formal launch of the Leicestershire Children and Families Partnership.
Plus updates from the Prevention at Scale Project, the Steady Steps programme and the QuitReady team on the services on offer for Stoptober.
Latest Health and Care Integration Stakeholder Bulletin available now
The August edition of the Health and Care bulletin includes an update on Leicestershire’s Better Care Fund Plan performance and progress for delayed transfers of care (DTOC) and details the work of the Discharge Working Group in relation to the 2018/19 targets.
There is also news on the Integrated Locality Teams programme, the launch of the Children and Families Partnership Plan, the impact of the Housing Enablement Team on outcomes for patients leaving hospital and a case study on the benefits of the Warm Homes Service.

The June edition of the Health and Care bulletin highlights the new approach being taken being taken to frailty and morbidity across LLR and how we are updating Leicestershire’s Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) 2018-21.
There’s news on the Prevention at Scale project, an update from the falls programme and the East Midlands Academic Health Science Network (EMAHSN) Falls Prevention and Management Demonstrator project plus a new information leaflet – Supporting Carers now available from GP surgeries in the county and Rutland.
