LLR Dementia Programme Board event taking place on 23 November 2022


The Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) Dementia Programme Board has organised an event for people effected by dementia who are diagnosed under the age of 65, to be held at Leicester City Football Club’s Community Hub on Wednesday 23 November, 2022 from 6:00pm – 8:30pm.

The aim  of the event is to consult directly with people about living with dementia and the support they need and provide information and advice.  Age UK and other local organisations are supporting the event.

The agenda for the event is below:

Arrival and information stalls – Please register as you arrive, to receive more information about the event. There will be light refreshments available and an opportunity to browse the information stalls.

Official opening – The event will be officially opened by people living with dementia and the Chair of the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Dementia Board.

Keynote speaker – A personal experience of living with younger onset Dementia.

Break and information stalls – Light refreshments are available, also another chance to browse the stalls.

Consultation activity – A seated activity giving you a chance to have your say about living with dementia and the support you need. This will assist Local Authorities and NHS services plan and improve services.

Information stalls – Another opportunity to browse the stalls and talk with other people living with dementia and the professionals who provide local services and support.
