Urgent Falls Response Service for Leicestershire County and Rutland pilot to run seven days a week
Phase 2 of the pilot service, provided by DHU to include weekend provision is now live and the service will be available from 8am – 8pm seven days a week until the end of May 2022 when the pilot finishes.
This service has been introduced to eliminate the difference in service provision between Leicester city, and Leicestershire and Rutland, reduce health inequality and improve patient health and wellbeing.
Referrals can be made by all Health and Social Care professionals and will be triaged by DHU. The aim is to provide a response at the person’s place of residence to assess, treat, discharge and make an onward referral for support as appropriate within 2 hours.
